Are you an experienced sales professional who enjoys coaching others, building effective sales habits, and helping a team succeed? Our insurance agency is seeking a General Sales Manager to lead sales training, strengthen our sales process, and drive growth across two office locations.

In this role, you’ll partner with the Agent and Office Managers to turn sales strategies into daily action. You’ll coach team members, lead hands-on training, identify opportunities, and follow through to improve results. We’re looking for someone who is invested in the success of others, enjoys helping people grow, and celebrates their achievements.

What You’ll Do

  • Build a consistent sales process: Implement and reinforce clear expectations for prospecting, lead follow-up, quoting, cross-selling, objection handling, closing, and customer follow-up across both offices.

  • Lead sales training: Establish a regular training and role-play schedule, facilitate Greg Gaines sales training, and help team members apply what they learn in customer conversations.

  • Coach individual team members: Conduct weekly sales coaching sessions, identify skill gaps, set development goals, and provide practical feedback that builds confidence and improves performance.

  • Drive sales growth: Partner with the Agent and Office Managers to establish production goals, develop sales campaigns, and improve lead conversion and cross-selling results.

  • Use performance data to guide action: Review sales activity, production, lead conversion, and existing-customer opportunities to identify what’s working and where additional support is needed.

  • Support new employees: Ensure new team members learn the agency’s sales process and develop effective sales habits from the start.

  • Create accountability and momentum: Coordinate with Office Managers to reinforce training, remove barriers, track progress, and recognize successful sales behaviors.

  • Build teamwork across locations: Share effective practices, encourage healthy competition, and create a culture of continuous improvement and shared success.

Each Office Manager will continue to lead daily office operations and their assigned team. Your focus will be strengthening sales execution and developing sales capabilities across both locations.

What We’re Looking For

  • An extensive sales background with a demonstrated ability to drive results.

  • Experience in banking, automotive sales, wireless sales, pharmaceutical sales, or a similar sales-focused environment.

  • The ability to coach, motivate, and develop others through clear expectations and constructive feedback.

  • Confidence leading training sessions, role-play exercises, and performance conversations.

  • A proactive, adaptable, and self-motivated approach, with the ability to identify opportunities and take initiative.

  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-through.

  • Comfort using sales reports and performance trends to make decisions and improve results.

  • A collaborative leadership style and a personal commitment to helping others succeed.

  • Willingness to obtain the required insurance licenses.
We’re seeking someone who can bring established sales skills and contribute quickly while learning our agency’s products, systems, and processes. Success requires taking ownership of opportunities and helping the team make measurable progress toward shared production goals.

Make an Impact

Your success will be measured by the growth you help create: stronger sales skills, more consistent follow-through, improved conversion rates, and increased production across both offices.

If you’re ready to put your sales experience to work developing people and driving agency growth, apply today.
Compensation: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
